This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Had a flashback today of when I was working. It was after the GTA IV launch and I had to kick tons of kids out cause they weren't old enough to get the damn game. I kept hearing "Hey y'all got some GTA 'Eye Vee' for sale." I'd look them straight in the eyes and say "You mean GTA Four? Cause we do, but you're not old enough and I'm damn sure you don't have I.D. to prove you are." Then they'd walk out angrily because I was being "racist" (most of the kids were Hispanic) and not totally and completely reasonable. Then I'd talk to Shawn and Hilda about how stupid kids are these days. Suddenly a grown man comes up to the counter and asks me for the game the same way as the kids. I nearly lose it. I tell him that we do have it and that it's the roman numeral for the number four. Shawn and Hilda snicker, guy gets mad and leaves cause I ask him for I.D. (the ESRB was cracking down hard for selling M rated games to people under the age limit)and I put the game back behind the counter only to put it back up to sell to the next guy. Hectic times. Only reasons I stayed working there were because it's nice to have money to buy dumb shit with, and because the managers were really cool. Then there was a regime change, new boss was racists and a rat. I was ethnic and by the books. The company always sided with the managers, even if they were stealing, lying, and breaking the rules. It's been over a year since I've worked. I miss it. Miss equating this to Clerks, like all other people in retail do. Miss getting a paycheck. Miss crushing children's dreams of sneaking off with an M rated game. But most of all, I miss the companionship of working there. The "us vs them" mentality that kept most of us sane. The awkward "we made it" laughter that we'd have with unruly customers or a really bad day where we somehow met quota. *sigh* I'm too young to be having "good times" flashbacks. Hopefully after Monday, everything will change.
